We recently did some prototyping with Unreal Engine’s Datasmith Importer to get compex assets from 3ds Max into Unreal Engine without a lot of additional tweaking.
Once inside Unreal, we did some small adjustments of materials and implemented the asset into a product viewer environment.
The interaction with your 3D asset in VR is a lot of fun and gives you amazing freedom to explore or present your product.
We will continue refining this workflow and will keep you posted.
